GeoSatSignal is a development of my SatSignal program, designed to process geostationary satellite data. Because the data is a sequence of images from the same well-defined location, more exciting processing can be done, and GeoSatSignal allows you to combine data in a number of ways.

Meteosat-8 (or MSG-1 as it was known during trials) is the first of the new European geostationary weather satellites. MSG is an acronym for Meteosat Second Generation. Meteosat-8 served from 2003 to 2007, and is now the standby and Rapid Scan satellite, with Meteosat-9 as the prime satellite since April 2007.

If you have an R2FX, R2ZX, R139 or RX2 receiver, you may have wanted to control it from your computer so that important passes were collected, and not ruined by other satellites capturing the receiver. My PassControl program allows this scheduling, and being RS232-based, it works under Windows XP, 2000, NT etc. as well as Windows 98 and ME.
